Big Bang rapper and deep-voiced heartthrob TOP is considering taking the lead role in the upcoming film Tazza 2.

Rumors had been flying that TOP (whose real name is Choi Seung Hyun) had been cast in Tazza 2: The Hand of God, the long-awaited sequel to the popular 2006 film Tazza: The High Rollers about a group of gamblers who play the popular Korean card game Hwatu (War of Flowers).

However, representatives from TOP's agency, YG Entertainment, have not yet confirmed the Big Bang star will take the role.

"TOP's casting in Tazza 2 is still in discussion. No decision has been made yet," revealed the agency in a statement to OSEN News.

However, it is said that TOP is "carefully reviewing the offer" and "positively considering" taking the role of Hahm Dae Gil, a high-profile gambler.

TOP previously won praise from critics and fans for his performance in the incredibly popular KBS2 action drama Iris as the mysterious assassin, Vick.

Tazza 2 will be directed by Kang Hyung Chul and was written by Heo Young Man. The movie's producers say filming is expected to begin later this year after the final cast has been settled.
