Kwanghee Admits Resenting Hyungsik Because He Thought His ZE:A Bandmate Used His Connections To Get Into The Band

ZE:A's Kwanghee wasn't always so fond of his bandmate Hyungsik.

On Thursday's episode of the South Korean television program "Happy Together," Kwanghee explained the suspicions that made him resent Hyungsik, according to the website allkpop.

"To be honest, Hyungsik got into our team through his connections," Kwanghee said.

"Before we debuted, there were about 20 trainees, but only a limited number of us could debut. But one day, our manager suddenly brought in Hyungsik. So I thought, 'he's here through connections, so he'll definitely be a member.' So I didn't like him."

Hyungsik explained that Kwanghee's resentment was based on false assumptions.

"I got accepted through auditioning," the ZE:A bandmember said.

"I was so scared of Kwanghee, I couldn't even talk to him. But I understood why he was like that, so I was careful around him."

It's been a big month for ZE:A. On August 9, the group released their new EP "Illusion."

According to the group's record label Star Empire, the newly released material is significant because it involves bringing back the full ZE:A nine-man lineup.

"ZE:A promoted as an eight-member group for a lengthy period due to [bandmember] Junyoung's injury, and have been promoting as subunits ZE:A FIVE and ZE:A4U so this 'complete' comeback carries a special significance," read a record label statement from last month.

"ZE:A are determined to become a top idol group through this comeback."

The group also released a music video for the song "The Ghost of Wind."

But the members of ZE:A still found time to show their love for fans and raise awareness of a worthy cause all at the same time.

The bandmembers handed out bracelets to fans who showed up to support them at a performance on the music program "'Inkigayo" on Sunday, then posted a photo of all of them wearing the assessories on the microblogging website Twitter.

"You all got the bracelets that the ZE:A members themselves prepared, right?" the group tweeted from backstage.

"It's a small present we're giving to you because we feel bad for always receiving! Thank you for always supporting ZE:A (Kwanghee is currently hosting the show)."

The group had earned the bracelets by donating to a program that provides classical music training for underprivileged children.
