Richie Sambora Bon Jovi Split After 30 Years; Cheaper to Pay Fill-In Guitarist

Richie Sambora and Bon Jovi split. After playing lead guitar for the New Jersey rock and roll bad, Richie Sambora and Bon Jovi have split. The band had been having problems for a while and Richie Sambora has said he wanted to play more lives shows. Even though Richie Sambora has been absent from a lot of Bon Jovi's recent shows.

A source close to Bon Jovie told Us Weekly that Riche Sambora will be putting down his guitar and saying goodbye to the band he's called home for thirty years.

The Bon Jovi source told Us Weekly "There were a lot of well-documented problems, so this was the best decision for now."

Richie Sambora, 54, hasn't been showing up for Bon Jovi's ongoing "Because We Can" tour for the past few months, but the band played on. The Bon Jovi website posted

this statemen on April 3, "Due to personal issues, Richie Sambora will not be performing on this upcoming leg. All shows will go on as scheduled."

Richie Sambora, a native of New Jersey has been the band's guitarist since they were first formed in 1983. Bon Jovi has put out 12 studio albums in its 30-year

history. The band also put out three compilation albums and two live albums. Bon Jovi solve over 130 million records worldwide and have performed in over 50

countries. Sambora and Jon Bon Jovi, who the band was named ater were inducted together into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2009.

Richie Sambora will still get his songwriting royalty checks and make money from the band's merchandise.

The feud in the middle of Bon Jovi, between Richie Sambora and Jon Bon Jovi has been going on for a while. According to published reports, Jon Bon Jovi fired lead guitarist Richie Sambora from the Bon Jovi's "Because We Can" tour.

According to Billboard Richie Sambora was fired over money. Sources said that Sambora pulled in $2 million a month and 20 percent of the profits from

the tour. Jon Bon Jovi only had to pay Philip “Phil X” Xenidis, who was filling in for the guitarist, $10,000 a month.

Another souces said, “Richie wants to go back on stage - that’s his first love. He’s really upset over the news.”

The band is sticking with the “personal matter” story ad hasn't put out an official statement.

Richie Sambora and his daughter Ava, were in Rome on July 4 and didn't show up for a concert at London's Hyde Park.

Richie Sambora put out a solo song, “Come Back as Me” which fans saw as a slight to his songwriting partner, Jon Bon Jovi.

Richie Sambora took to Twitter to clear that up, saying “This songs gettin’ some traction, so I would sincerely appreciate any help. BTW this has nothin’ to do with Jon...."
