Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas are still married, they are taking a break. The acting couple Catherine Zeta-Jones, Michael Douglas are in the process of “evaluating” their relationship.

A representative for Catherine Zeta-Jones, Michael Douglas said “Catherine and Michael are taking some time apart to evaluate and work on their marriage. There will be no further comment.” Catherine Zeta-Jones, Michael Douglas decided to take the break after in May, after Douglas returned from the Cannes Film Festival.

There is a 26 years age difference between Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas, but this doesn’t look like it was part of the reason.

Michael Douglas will be taking a vacation in Sardinia, while Catherine Zeta-Jones stays in New York their two children. Even when the two are in America, they can still be separated. Michael Douglas keeps a home in Manhattan and Catherine Zeta- Jone has their property in upstate New York.

It could have been all the oral sex that Michael Douglas admitted to. Or maybe Jones saw “Behind the Candelabra.”

Catherine Zeta-Jones, Michael Douglas were married in November 2000 and the star couple have been together through bouts of sickness and mental health issues.

Michael Douglas got a throat cancer diagnosis in in 2010. Michael Douglas said Catherine Zeta-Jones stuck with him his treatment and stayed strong. After Michael Douglas got through the treatments and overcame the cancer, he had to take care of Catherine Zeta-Jones after she was diagnosed with bipolar II disorder and had to be checked into a mental health facility for treatment.

According to People magazine, Catherine Zeta-Jones had to undergo a second period of treatment for bipolar disorder in April 2013. Catherine Zeta-Jones, Michael Douglas split about a month after she got out of treatment, after Michael Douglas got back from the from the Cannes Film Festival.

Catherine Zeta-Jones, Michael Douglas are still married. They haven’t filed for divorce and this isn’t a legal separation.

A source close to Catherine Zeta-Jones, Michael Douglas says this separation is “a break.”

Catherine Zeta-Jones, Michael Douglas have two children together, Dylan, who is 13 years old and Carys who is 10.

A friend of Catherine Zeta-Jones, Michael Douglas told People magazine “They want the best for their kids, no matter what happens.”
