“Man of Steel” Casting Rumors: Justin Bieber to play Robin? Holy Twitter Scam!

“Man of Steel” casting rumors are ripe with the news that Justin Bieber might be playing Robin in the newest entry in the rebooted Superman movie series. If you believed the blowback to Ben Affleck playing Batman was bad, the Bieb as Batman’s boy wonder blunder will blow that away.

Selena Gomez’s ex-boyfriend, Justin Bieber, is playing to the “Man of Steel” casting rumors by putting a picture of himself on Instagram holding what looks like a Bieber-watermarked copy of the Warner Bros’ Man Of Steel sequel screenplay. The title of the script is “Based on Batman: The Dark Knight Falls by Frank Miller & Klaus Janson.”

The Justin Bieber Instagram photo had the caption “#robin ??” The newest “Man of Steel” casting rumors drew comments that ranged from “Yusssss!” and “OMFG JUSTIN DREW BIEBER BRB DYING” to “Stick with music & little kids stuff.”

Justin Bieber’s hint that he is up for the role of Robin in upcoming “Batman v Superman” movie might be a celebrity prank.

Justin Bieber is a renowned Batman fan, last year someone took a picture of him wearing a Batman mask to see “The Dark Knight Rises.”

In 2010 and 2011, Justin Bieber acted in two episodes of “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.” Earlier this year, The Bieb also lent his voice to a guest spot on “The Simpsons.”

Ben Affleck caused controversy when word came out that he was cast as Batman opposite Henry Cavill's Superman in the upcoming sequel to “Man Of Steel.” Batman fans took to the internet to put up an online petition to get him pulled from the picture. More than 90,000 people signed the petition.

"Batman v Superman" will start shooting the "Batman v Superman" movie in Michigan early next year. The Superman sequel will be released by Warner Bros on July 17, 2015.
