Man of Steel 2 Cast Update: Batman And Superman Movie To Feature Justin Bieber? Tired And Weary Caped Crusader Just Might Need A Sidekick

Batman's presence in Man of Steel 2 seems to be drawing more hype than Superman himself. From the time that Ben Affleck had been cast as the Caped Crusader, rumors just keep on cropping up in relation to the character. Only after a week or so since Justin Timberlake denied rumors of wanting to be a superhero, another Justin had stepped into picture.

In Instagram, Justin Bieber had posted a selfie showing himself holding a script which says, "Batman vs. Superman" and has "Bieber" watermarked on it.

This has drawn mixed reactions from Beliebers and superhero fans; and speculations have cropped up that the 19-year old singer would be playing Robin.

This could, of course, be taken with a pinch of salt, since he also tweeted, "Off to do something funny or...die :)"

Bruce Wayne just might need a sidekick, since he would be a tired and weary soul in Man of Steel 2. The Guardian had quoted Warner Bros CEO Kevin Tsujihara as saying, "[Batman will be] tired and weary and seasoned and been doing it for awhile."

He added, "We think it's the perfect springboard for Batman and Superman. Ben [Affleck] is perfect for the vision Zack [Snyder, director] has for that character. The fact that you saw such a passionate response in the blogosphere is really kind of a testament to the love that people have for this character."

Other than filming in Detroit, the production company is quite mum about the goings-on of the movie. Of course, Batman and Superman will be facing each other, but this will be the first time they will do so on the big screen. But the question still remains on who or what the two superheroes will face. There have been speculations that Bryan Cranston is being eyed to play Lex Luthor; and for a while, Justin Timberlake was thought to have been eyeing the role of the Riddler.

Henry Cavill will come back to reprise his role as Superman/ Clark Kent; while Ben Affleck will be playing the weary Batman/ Bruce Wayne. To reprise their roles are Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Dianne Lane (Marta Kent), and Lawrence Fishburne (Perry White). The movie is scheduled to be released on July 17, 2015.
