After Vogue rejected Miley Cyrus, they still can't stop her from being a fashion icon as we prepare to see her grace the cover of Harper's Bazaar.

For Bazaar's October issue, Cyrus joins forces with her "Wrecking Ball" video director Terry Richardson, who also teamed up with the singer back in August for a couture shoot with the magazine.

In an interview with Bazaar's Derek Blasberg, Cyrus stresses that her fashion has turned up more than a notch since she covered the publication back in 2010.

"I feel like every girl is trying to have a beauty shot and prove that they're 'fashion.' But I can be in white leggings and a white sports bra and I'm on a whole other level of shit that those girls don't even get yet because they don't know how to do it," proclaimed the former Hanna Montana.

To prove that her fashion aesthetics are better than the rest, Cyrus boast about how she brings a huge "kit" of her own "shit" to photoshoots that contains "over-the-top, blingy, fabulous accessories... Chanel logo suspenders and belts, Versace Medusa necklaces and brooches, spiked stilettos, hats, and miles of shiny gold chains."

"What if I get to a photo shoot and the stylist just sucks?" Miley says as an excuse for bring her own wardrobe.

This is all coming after her winded twerking performance at the VMAs that supposedly led to Anna Wintour rejecting the idea of having Cyrus on the cover of Vogue.

"Anna found the whole thing distasteful," a source says, according to Daily Mail. "She decided, based on Miley's performance, to take the cover in a different direction."
