Big Bang TOP's New Movie 'Commitment' To Hit Theaters In November

It seems that TOP fans will finally get to see the top star's latest movie Commitment soon.

According to distributer Showbox, the film's release date has been set for November.

Commitment (English title - it is also credited as Alumni, the literal translation of the Korean title), marks the Big Bang rapper's first lead movie role where he plays a North Korean spy posing as high-school aged defector, Myung Hoon.

The story follows the young spy as he volunteers to finish a job his father failed to do in order to save his ailing younger sister, Hye In.

While enrolled in school in South Korea, TOP's character ends up falling for a classmate, also named Hye In.

Officials in the North eventually decide to off Myung Hoon, and the character undergoes a great ordeal in order to survive.

Filming for Commitment officially wrapped in January after a lengthy and tumultuous process.

It began in June 2012, but had to temporarily suspend due to Typhoon Bolaven. At that time the original director of the film dropped out of production.

However, Commitment's final touches have been added and now the movie is set for a late fall release.

Many fans and critics are particularly excited to see how TOP fares in his first official lead role. He previously won acclaim for his drama acting role in Iris and is often regarded as one of the best up-and-coming young actors in South Korea.
