Billboard Names Lee Hi One of the 21 Hottest Artists Under 21

Lee Hi just had her 17th birthday the other day, and now she has one more thing to celebrate.

This year Billboard has added her to their '21 Under 21' list - the publication's ranking of the 21 hottest youngsters in the music industry.

"During the past 12 months, K-pop newcomer Lee Hi racked up chart successes rivaling established Korean idols," said Billboard. They also included the long list of those chart-topping songs as evidence.

Lee Hi's debut single "1.2.3.4" as well as her follow-up singles "It's Over" and "Rose," were touted by Billboard, as was her work with hip-hop group Epik High and international phenomenon Psy.

On the 21 Under 21 List 2013, Lee Hi came in at number 20 and is only the fourth Korean artist to grace the list since it debuted in 2010. Previous K-Pop mentions have included the Wonder Girls, 4Minute's HyunA, and sweet-voiced IU.

The jazzy monster rookie shares this year's honors with some of pop music's biggest international stars including UK boy band One Direction (who nabbed the top spot), Canadian singer Justin Bieber and America's own Miley Cyrus (who finished out the top three).

With Billboard already taking notice of the young talent, it is only a matter of time before the rest of the world catches on to Lee Hi's tremendous singing abilities. And with this awesome international distinction now under her belt, fans are sure to see even more great things from her in the future.
