Crayon Pop Fans are “Pop-jusshis?” Even Crying Nut!

Rock band Crying Nut admitted onstage that they are Crayon Pop fans.

On September 29, Crying Nut performed at the special concert for KBS2's "Dream Team with Nonsan Citizens Day Concert" at the Nonsan Public Stadium. At the concert, Crying Nut's Lee Sang Myun appeared wearing "unemployment training clothes" with his name embroidered on it, and declared that he is a "Popjusshi."

Popjusshi is a word that combines Crayon Pop's "Pop" and the word "ahjusshi," a word used to refer to older men. Lee Sang Myun was admitting that he is like an uncle fan of Crayon Pop. (Again, the word "uncle" here is used to relate himself as an older uncle figure, and not in a literal sense.) "Popjusshis" usually appear at concerts wearing different colored training clothes with two lines going down the sides that have their names or nicknames embroidered on them. Popjusshis are known for wearing these types of clothes and cheering for Crayon Pop at their events.

At the concert, Lee Sang Myun wore black "unemployment training clothes" that had "Sang Myun" embroidered over the left side of the chest, and wowed the audience with his colorful guitar skills.

Before they went onstage, Crying Nut did funny poses with Crayon Pop in the waiting room for some photos they took to keep as memoires. It's heartwarming to see these two very different groups getting along so well.

Crayon Pop commented, "It's a really huge honor and we're so grateful that Crying Nut, whom we've always respected, are our fans." They continued, "We never expected that they would go through the trouble of purchasing their own popjusshi clothes and actually wear it onstage. We're really thankful and don't know how to express just how grateful we are."
