Critics have been waiting for Britney to return to her prime after her public meltdown a few years ago. Britney Spears’ new music video shows Britney as a dance machine oozing with sex.

The new Britney Spears music video was directed by Ben Mor, who also directed Britney’s “Scream & Shout. It looks like Britney Spears is getting younger.

Britney Spears will soon be bringing her sexy moves to a Las Vegas in a $30 million residency deal with Planet Hollywood.

Las Vegas used to be known as the place where huge acts went to die. Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley both ended their careers in Las Vegas Strip residencies.

Celine Dion turned that all around. Dion opened her “A New Day” residency at Colosseum at Caesars Palace, a 4,000 seat theater, in 2002. Elton John was next to jump on his piano for his 2011 “The Million Dollar Piano” run. Britney Spears' “Piece of Me” residency premieres on Dec. 27 at Planet Hollywood.

The median age of Las Vegas tourists dropped from 49 to 45 in the past four years, mainly because of electronic dance music. Superstar DJs like Tiesto and Deadmau5 have residences at state-of-the-art nightclubs like MGM's Hakkasan and they make about $300,000 a night. The clubs pull in about $1.5 million in nightly drink sales. Kurt Melien, Caesars vice president of entertainment, who negotiated the Britney Spears Planet Hollywood said "It takes a pretty big shift in younger customers to move that age average down. We recognize those trends. They had a lot to do with us wanting a younger-skewing contemporary artist as a resident."

Britney Spears will pull in more than $30 million during the two-year residency. She has to put on 50 shows a year. Celine Dion did 700 shows in five years and pulled in is $400 million. Last year, Britney Spears made $38.3 million on her North American tour.

One of the biggest perks is that Britney gets to stay in one place and people come to her.

Bobby Reynolds, vice president of booking at AEG Live, Las Vegas said "Bands are no longer sitting on their couches collecting royalty checks." Reynolds said Motley Crue's first residency at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino from February 2012, was "played in an intimate room and sold over 36,000 tickets in 12 shows."

Johnny Wright, manager for Justin Timberlake and the Jonas Brothers, says "The biggest line item on a tour is trucking and transportation."

Vince Neil from Motley Crue says "You can do bigger things by not having to tear it down every night, drive 300 miles and build it back up. On the last run, it was basically a circus -- we had little people, flying people … a cast of, like, 50 performers. You can't take that many people around. It's not cost effective."
