There are many things that set K-Pop idols apart from pop stars in the rest of the world. One of the most talked about and researched aspect being the intensity of their fans, but perhaps what is more distinguishing is Korean pop stars' all-around entertainment abilities.

They appear on TV shows and in movies, they host variety shows and radio programs, they are stage actors, models, commercial stars, and more. Many are bi-lingual, if not multi-lingual, and are capable of reaching the top ranks of celebrity status not just at home in Korea, but abroad as well.

These are vastly talented individuals who are multifaceted performers and can win over the hearts of fans with their charms and abilities.

However, even though their primary job is as a pop star, not all of them are superb singers - as MBLAQ member Lee Joon recently pointed out.

The idol star participated in an audience session for his forthcoming movie An Actor is an Actor (set to hit theaters later this month), at the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) over the weekend, and gave some insight into his life as a Korean idol who is not a very good singer.

"I debuted as a member of MBLAQ, but I've never been complimented on my singing even until now," he admitted to the film's audience. "Sometimes I am so bad that I get cursed at."

He reflected on one experience in particular when he sang "Dream" while participating in SBS's Challenge 1000 Song three years ago.

"I didn't know back then, but when I saw the broadcast, Jang Yoon Jung's face got weird when I started singing," Lee Joon said. "After that, I practiced by singing a lot - but I still haven't been praised."

Even though the MBLAQ idol has not proven himself to be a strong singer, he is praised for many other aspects of his career.

Often a welcomed guest on variety programs and talk shows, Lee Joon is known in the Korean media for his frank honesty and charming personality as well as his apt sense of humor.

What is more, and as his appearance at BIFF can attest to, he is routinely complimented for his abilities as an actor.

"I get praised for my acting quite often," explained Lee Joon. "I filmed my first movie in 2009 and I want to be told that I have improved since then."

"The audience will be the judge, so I'm looking forward to that."

An Actor is an Actor premiered at the Busan International Film Festival this weekend and will officially open in Korean theaters on October 24.
