Se7en, the Return of the King

Se7en has kicked off a successful come back into the Korean stage after 5 years, scoring top places on the music charts.

Se7en's new title song won the mutizen song award at "Inki gayo," which was the crowning glory of the King of Korean pop.

The popularity of his song has surpassed that of the soundtrack of "Haeleul Pum Eun Dal," the current it-drama.

Se7en's success was arguably foreshadowed after the news of his collaboration with JYP. Not only did the song sweep away the music charts in Korea but it managed to snag No.1 on the itunes R&B chart on the day of its release.

Such popularity is significant as it shows that Se7en, as a veteran singer nearing the 10th year of his debut, has managed to divert the attention that was previously focused solely on idol singers. Also, the collaboration between YG and JYP may open doors to future successful collaborations between other agencies.

Many eyes are upon Se7en, eager to see what else he has to unveil for the audience.
