Big Bang TOP to Hit US Theaters Next Month with American Release of 'Commitment'

American TOP fans have reason to celebrate today. It was just confirmed today that the Big Bang rapper's latest acting project,Commitment, will be released in US theaters at the end of next month.

According to a press release from the movie's distributor Showbox, Commitment will hit select theaters in the US on November 29, three weeks after its domestic release on November 6.

Showbox revealed that the movie had been sold to American film distribution company Well Go USA, the same company that is credited with the success of another Korean flick, The Theives, last year.

Fans elsewhere in the world may soon hear good news of the film's arrival in local theaters as Showbox additionally announced Commitment had been sold to European distributor Splendid Film, Singapore-based Golden Village, Golden Scene in Hong Kong, Taiwan's Serenity Entertainment, and around southeast Asia to distributors in Malaysia, Thailand, and Cambodia.

Big Bang's TOP plays a young North Korean spy posing as a high school student after he he volunteers to finish a job his father failed to do in order to save his ailing younger sister, Hye In. He then, of course, falls for a classmate.

There has been significant buzz about the film in recent months and especially since the cast's appearance at the Busan International Film Festival earlier this month.

TOP has been heralded as one of the best idol-actors in the Korean entertainment industry and his performance in the film is expected to be one to remember.
