Jodi Arias Trial Update Today: Jodi Arias Releases `Limited Edition’ Prints of Jailhouse Art; Not Running An Office From Her Cell

Jodi Arias Trial Update Today: Jodi Arias, the 33-year-old former waitress and aspiring photographer who was found guilty of killing her ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander in May,  is selling her latest jailhouse art for $1,500. There are 100 prints available of Jodi Arias' latest painting, "'Sailing at Sunset," for $39 each.

On her website, jodiarias.com, Jodi Arias, 33, announced that she will be releasing 100 "limited edition" prints of "Sailing at Sunset," a romantically themed drawing, at $1,500. "Sailing at Sunset" is Jodi Arias' latest work. She has also painted other landscapes and portraits of Elizabeth Taylor and Frank Sinatra.

Jodi Arias isn't getting rich off her artwork or off the media frenzy that engulfed her trial. Jodi Arias recently took to Twitter to say she was filing for bankruptcy.

On Oct. 10 Jodi Arias tweeted "That rumor that somehow my family profited from my trial? Absurd. I'm filing for bankruptcy (if I can ever afford to do so)."

Jodi Arias also said her parents and aunt and uncle were also bankrupt, but she took that tweet down.

A spokesman for the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office, Chris Hegstrom, said "She's able to have access to paper and purchase color pencils, and if she wants to release her property to someone outside, she can."

The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office oversees the Jodi Arias's incarceration.

The spokesman said that Jodi Arias has not turned her cell into an office. Hergstrom said "She's not physically running a business from our jail. I can't stop her from talking on the phone or releasing property." But he also warned that officials could not verify if the paintings were actually drawn by Jodi Arias. Hegstrom said that even though Jodi Arias could not make money from movie deals or book rights under Arizona's "Son of Sam Law," people can put money in Arias' commissary fund.

There is no word on who is running Jodi Arias' website. The convicted killer has not access to computers in prison.

Although Jodi Arias was found guilty in May of the 2008 murder of Travis Alexander, the jury couldn't decide if Arias should be put to death or be sentenced to life in prison.

Jodi Arias steadfastly held to the account that she killed Travis Alexander in self-defense.

No sentencing date has been scheduled for the Jodi Arias trial.
