Girls' Generation Sooyoung made her first public appearance after the relationship rumor surfaced.

At the '2013 Style Icon Awards' ceremony, Sooyoung and actor Choi Jin Hyuk won the "Best K-Style" award. Sooyoung said, "Thank you for this special award. It's my first time receiving an award on my own, so this is very exciting for me," and "Thank you to all the fans who show me love."

Despite this being her first public appearance after her relationship rumor, Sooyoung was calm and composed throughout it all.

On October 23rd, women's magazine "Women Sense" reported, "Jung Kyung Ho and Girls' Generation Sooyoung have been dating for 1 year now," and "They started their relationship earlier this year, and until now have been keeping their love a secret."

Regarding this matter, Jung Kyung Ho's agency commented to TV Report, "It is true that the two know each other, but it's not a romantic relationship. We don't know how this relationship rumor came to be about," and denied any truth to the rumor. Likewise, Sooyoung's agency said, "It absolutely is not true."

'Style Icon Awards' is a unique awards ceremony in Korea that promotes a new paradigm and style through broadcast, culture, and arts. It highlights figures that have influenced the public's lifestyles.

The winner is chosen through online votes (30%), research preference (40%), and SIA judge scores (30%).

'2013 Style Icon Awards' Ceremony was held at the CJ E&M Center in Sangamdong, Seoul on October 24th. It was broadcast on OnStyle, tvN, Mnet, XTM, Olive, and StoryOn. It was also broadcast live in 11 countries such as America and Australia through global channel Channel M and Mnet America.
