YG's WINNER Scheduled to Open for Big Bang During Japan Dome Tour Next Month

It seems that fans in Japan are going to get the first glimpse at YG Entertainment's new boy band WINNER.

The agency announced through various Japanese media on October 27 that the group, who were announced as the winners of YG's competitive reality show Who Is Next: WIN, will be joining their label-mates Big Bang on tour next month.

WINNER will open for mega-stars Big Bang as they make their way across Japan for a six-city dome tour starting on November 16.

With sixteen performances scheduled, this will be the group's largest dome tour in the country to date and will serve as a fantastic opportunity for WINNER to get their feet wet.

The five members of WINNER include Kang Seung Yoon, Song Min Ho, Kim Jin Woo, Lee Seung Hoon, and Nam Tae Hyun have been trainees at YG Entertainment for several years, were previously known to fans as 'Team A' on the company's self-produced reality show WIN.

Already with a lot of fan support behind them, the Japan tour will give WINNER the chance to bolster their international fame.

The new group will have their first official stage performance at Big Bang's Seibu Dome concert on November 16 and will continue with the group through fifteen more performances in six citites.

Not only are Japanese fans pumped to see WINNER perform live, but the group's own leader Kang Seung Yoon is delighted by the opportunity as well. "I am very excited to visit different places in Japan that I have seen in TV dramas or movies," he said.
