Despite their girl power lyrics, X Factor UK 2011 winners Little Mix deny feminist claims.

While band member Jesy Nelson said "we love our men," Little Mix chick Perrie Edwards explained the meaning behind their music even further.

"I wouldn't say we're feminists: we don't hate our men," said Edwards to Confidential. "Everyone loves boys. We're just very passionate about girls sticking together and the sisterhood of things."

Edwards, the fiance of One Direction's Zayn Malik, believes women can be powerful if they work as a team.

"Girls go through a lot more than men - such as periods - and it's better to stick together instead of bitching and hating. We're a stronger force," she said.

Edwards is on to something because Little Mix has powerfully emerged in the music scene. Their album DNA is a international sensation while their singles "Wings" and "Change Your Life" are topping the charts. They all have achieved so much under the age of 23.

"We can't believe the amazing reception we have here," said Little Mix's Leigh-Anne Pinnock. "Our fans are crazy amazing and we can't wait to do a tour."
