After Team A's Emotional Victory On 'WIN: Who Is Next' Band's Single 'Go Up' Climbs Pop Charts

Things keep getting better for Team A.

After being selected as the next YG Entertainment boy band on the television reality show singing competition "WIN: Who Is Next?" on Friday, Team A band members Kang Seung Yoon, Song Min Ho, Kim Jin Woo, Lee Seung Hoon and Nam Tae Hyun now have their first top 10 single.

According to a YG Entertainment press release published Monday on the record label's website, the group's song "Go Up" was in fifth place on the Daum Music chart, seventh on Mnet music rankings, 15th on Naver Music, and 17th on Melon.

"Go Up" was Team A's theme song on "WIN: Who Is Next."

The show's losing band Team B, is also seeing some chart success.

Team B's theme song "Climax" is ranked 13th on Daum Music, 11th on Mnet, 25th on Naver Music, and 29th on Melon.

Team A was crowned the winner of "WIN: Who Is Next" in an emotional final episode, that even left series creator and YG Entertainment CEO, Yang Hyun Suk, in tears.

"No matter what the result is, I am so proud of all of you," Yang said, minutes before the winning group was announced live.

As many of the contestants on both sides shed tears, Team A's Kang Seung Yoon was modest in accepting his band's win.

"The Team B members worked so hard at this," Kang said.

"Team B's performance was much better and I salute them. I hope all of you keep cheering for Team B as well. I hope you continue to support us."

Team B contestant B.I was gracious in the loss.

"I am happy because there is no regret," B.I said. "We are going to keep working hard so I hope you continue to send us support. Right this moment everyone is a winner."

On Sunday, Yang announced that Team A, to be known henceforth as WINNER, will debut simultaneously in Korea and Japan.

"The Japanese market is appealing," Yang told the publication Daily Sports.

"We have in mind a simultaneous debut in Korea and Japan. The first album will include songs recorded in Japanese."

All five members of Team A speak Korean and Japanese.

WINNER will make their live debut on Nov. 16 when they join Big Bang on their  Dome Tour of Japan at the Seibu Dome in Tokorozawa City.

The group will perform 16 concerts in six cities.
