WINNER Discusses Their Upcoming Debut: Fresh Off Their 'WIN: Who Is Next?' Victory, Team A Gets A Shot At The Big Time

While anyone who has been watching "WIN: Who Is Next" the reality show created by YG Entertainment founder and CEO Yang Hyun Suk to pick the record label's next boy band, may know them as Team A, they're going to have to get used to calling the victorious team WINNER.

And the five band members don't have much time to get used to their bold new moniker.

WINNER will make their live debut on Nov. 16 when they join Big Bang on their  Dome Tour of Japan at the Seibu Dome in Tokorozawa City.

The group will perform 16 concerts in six cities, according to the YG Entertainment website.

On Sunday, Yang announced that WINNER would debut simultaneously in Korea and Japan.

"The Japanese market is appealing," Yang told the publication Daily Sports.

"We have in mind a simultaneous debut in Korea and Japan. The first album will include songs recorded in Japanese."

All five members of WINNER speak Korean and Japanese.

Moments after clinching their life-changing victory over the six-member Team B, the members of Team A offered a candid interview about Big Bang, appearing on "WIN: Who Is Next?" and their new life as WINNER.

"Even after winning the final round, it still hasn't hit me yet," band member Kim Jin Woo said, according to the website allkpop.

"I will work hard, so that I don't mar the title of WINNER and make it shine bright."

WINNER singer Mino offered an apology for forgetting the fans in his shock over Team A's victory in the show's live finale on Friday night.

"Because I cried and was scatterbrained on the final stage, I forgot to say thank you to the fans," Mino said.

"We were able to become WINNER because of the fans' support and votes. I didn't want to leave without saying 'thank you.'"

Regarding the group's first gig sharing double billing with the last YG Entertainment-produced boy band Big Bang, WINNER singer Lee Seung Hoon was his typically humble self.

"The Big Bang members are icons that have reached the top level in the K-pop scene," Lee said. "Like Big Bang, I hope [WINNER can go] from just being artists to a team that leads the culture of Korea and Asia. We won't stain [Big Bang's] honor and would like to rise as artists who can perform worldwide."

While band member Kang Seung Yoon said the victory made him "satisfied and proud," WINNER's Nam Tae Hyun promised to keep his eyes on the prize.

"We haven't made our debut yet," Nam said.

"Until the day of our debut, we won't relax and bring out our individual abilities to become a group with a strong foundation in the basics. In our eyes and our CEO's  eyes, we are lacking in a lot of areas. We will work even harder until the day of our debut."
