Big Bang Members Are Going Solo…

Big Bang members are taking turns releasing solo albums. Will they be able to make it as big solo as they did in the group?

TOP announced his solo comeback on October 30th, and completed YG Entertainment's solo projects for each of the Big Bang members. For TOP, who appeared in the movie "The Commitment," his musical comeback is sure to appeal to the fans as he showcases a different talent.

Daesung released a solo album in Japan in February, Seungri released an album in August, and G-Dragon released a solo album in September. Recently Taeyang revealed his plans to release his album in November. Finally with TOP's announcement of a solo comeback, each one of the members has gone solo.

It's very interesting that each member would release an album, especially in light of the fact that Big Bang is currently active for their Japan Dome Tour as a group. It's a rare opportunity for the members to showcase their talents as a group as well as invididually in their solo activities. Not only that, they are receiving lots of love from fans both as a group and as solo artists, so it's a win-win for YG Entertainment.

A YG rep commented, "It's a really unique strategy for the members to be active in the group as well as alone, and even more amazing is that both activities are very successful. We've proved that these influential Hallyu leading K-pop stars are able to be complete even when they're not working as a group."

There's much anticipation for TOP's new album, which will feature his thick and husky voice. Fans can look forward to hearing from "The Commitment" actor through his upcoming album.
