Eminem Takes to Twitter to Promote SNL Appearance Even Though ` Live TV Freaks Me Out’; Slim Shady Tweets `Don’t Laugh’ (Video)

Eminem warned us. When Slim Shady was on ESPN last month, he said "Live TV freaks me out." Tomorrow night, Eminem will play the ultimate live TV show, "Saturday Night Live," even the title makes him nervous.

So when Eminem stares belligerently into the camera while hilarity ensues around him in the SNL clips, he means it. And when Slim Shady admits he loves cupcakes, he nails it. Eminem was in on the joke. He's not particularly well-known for his sense of humor, although some of his rap abuse is pure biting wit.

Eminem took to Twitter to point the way to new "Saturday Night Live" promos that show him playing a bored straight man to enthusiastic host Kerry Washington.

Here's my SNL promo.  Don't laugh. https://youtu.be/rtEyuoi2-5A

This will be the sixth time Eminem will be the musical guest on Saturday Night Live, so how freaked out can he be about live TV.

Eminem made an awkward appearance the first time he gave a live interview on ESPN this summer shortly after he appeared on the "Saturday Night Football" halftime show. When he first sat down with Brent Musburger and Kirk Herbstreit, the cameras caught Eminem with his mouth hanging open. He admitted "Live TV freaks me out a little bit."

Eminem's new album, "The Marshall Mathers LP 2," is set to drop on November 5. Just three days after his SNL appearance. The concept behind the album is that it is a sequel to Eminem's classic 2000 album "The Marshall Mathers LP." Just like Eminem's 2000 album, "The Marshall Mathers LP 2" is already generating controversy. Boy George is miffed that Eminem used the word "Fag" on the newest single from Eminem, "Rap God." Eminem's new album was produced by the legendary Rick Rubin and Dr. Dre.
