NCIS LA Season 5 Spoilers: Deeks Talks About Real-Life Relationship With Kensi, Callen And Sam Going Undercover Together Again [Video]

WARNING: NCIS LA Season 5 Spoilers ahead!

The past six episodes of NCIS LA Season 5 gave us a glimpse on the ongoing development on Deeks and Kensi’s relationship.

Looks like “Densi” fans are going to enjoy this season as NCIS LA Executive Produce Shane Brennan shared juicy details on Deeks and Kensi’s relationship.

During an exclusive interview with TVFanatic.com, Brennan shared that this season will bring exciting development on the two’s relationship.

According to Brennan, “It really is kind of the Kensi-Deeks season because of what happened with the kiss, what happened with his trauma, how that affects him plays out into their relationship.”

Brennan added, “By the 9th or 10th episode, it has some fairly dramatic consequences. And, then we put them both in a situation through the next 8 or so episodes. They are struggling with what happened in the 10th episode and then in the 18th episode there’s this pretty powerful and surprising revelation that changes the course of their relationship in a very, very big way.”

But, enough about their on-screen relationship. What most people don’t know is that Deeks (played by Eric Christian Olsen) and Kensi (portrayed by Daniela Ruah) have a real-life relationship.

In real life, Kensi is actually engaged to Deek’s real-life older brother, David Paul Olsen. During Deek’s visit to OMG Insider, he said, “My brother does stunts on the show and they fell in love somewhere along the road. I looked over and I was like..wait what’s happening over there? Oh they’re falling in love… oh this is happening.”

Kensi is also expecting a baby in real-life with her fiancé while Deeks has a 2-month old baby with wife, Sarah Wright.

On other news, Brennan also shared some insights to TVFanatic.com on what’s going to happen this season.

Brennan revealed more interaction between Sam and Callen.

The executive producer said, “The other thing we’re going to do for the fans that just love the Sam and Callen partnership, we’re going to see them go undercover together again. We haven’t done a lot of that lately, but there’s going to be some very memorable episodes this season where we get to see the two of them doing their banter, doing their undercover thing and just having a lot of fun in the way the series began with them undercover.”

On the last episode, Callen and Sam are actually counting the undercover missions they went to when Callen was forced to go undercover as a substitute teacher:

Callen to Sam: What’s your excuse?
Sam: I don’t need one. It’s your turn. I did the bar association conference last week. In fact, the next three are your turn.
Callen: Really?

Looks like Callen and Sam will be counting more undercover missions in the following episodes!
