Samsung Galaxy S3 Android 4.3 Update: Official Jelly Bean Update Being Rolled Out To International Models Of Device Available Via OTA & Samsung Kies

Samsung Galaxy Android 4.3 update has been spotted yesterday as the rollout for the officially Jelly Bean upgrade for the device has begun. The Samsung-focus site, SamMobile, has confirmed that Samsung Galaxy S3 with Model No. GT-1930 Vodafone variant owners are now getting the updates. The Android 4.3 update is available as an Over-The-Air (OTA) update and also via PC suite Samsung Kies.

Once the new update is installed, Samsung Galaxy S3 owners can expect their device to be compatible with Samsung’s wearable device, Samsung Galaxy Gear and to also get TRIM support, designed to improve performance. There will be a driving mode option and enhanced S-voice search and a new camera mode Sound and Shoot, which is available right now only with the Samsung Galaxy S4.

The International Business Times has posted a round-up of some of the other updates that will be visible once a Samsung Galaxy S3 device receives the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update.

Keyboard and input. According to earlier reports, the keypad is expected to have an improved algorithm for tap-typing and will make inputting text messages less cumbersome. The Android 4.3 update is also expected to enhance the gamepad.

Settings. The new tab that comes with the Android 4.3 update shows which apps are disabled and functioning.

Graphics. The Samsung Galaxy S3’s newest available OS now allows the device to support the mobile industry’s latest Open GL ES 3.0 graphics.

Restricted Access. A feature touted for its ability to create profiles for guest users and restrict access to some apps and other contents will finally be here for the variant’s owners.

According to the International Business Times, there have been no dates as of yet of when it will be released to other countries, but in an official timetable by Australian carrier Telstra, it shows that the device will have the Android 4.3 for S3 in the region by year’s end.
