Disney Puts Up Nationwide Casting Call for `Rachel' and `Thomas''; Are They Talking About Luke and Leia?

Star Wars Casting News: Walt Disney Studios took to Twitter to announce a nationwide casting call for a major movie. They don't say it, but it looks like they're talking about the new Star Wars.

The Star Wars casting call has gone up in papers all over the world. Starting on November 9, there will be open auditions.

The Star Wars casting call describes "handsome" actors and "beautiful" actresses to play Rachel and Thomas. Rachel is a "street smart and strong" orphaned girl in her late teens who is "always a survivor, never a victim." Thomas is a "smart capable" man in his late teens or early 20s named Thomas who grew up "without a father's influence" who shows courage when it is needed."

Could Rachel and Thomas be Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia? If new Star Wars movie is a prequel, Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker are the biggest parts. Luke grew up without a father. His father was reported dead until it came out that he was Darth Vader. We don't know much about the young Princess Leia.

But Thomas could be a notice for Han Solo, Another capable guy. He might have grown up with no father. The Star Wars starship pilot "understands the absurdities in life. The part is for people of all ethnicities.
