Big Bang member Taeyang's first solo song in 3 years "Ringa Linga" is currently toping various online music charts, and the artist revealed "This is the message that I want to say right now."

In the past, Taeyang has mostly sung songs centered around love in his solo songs, such as "Look at Only Me," "Where U At," "Wedding Dress," and "I Need a Girl." However, his new song "Ringa Linga" deviates from his usual subject.

Taeyang sings provocative yet youthful lyrics such as "Put your hands up like the country's been liberated," "Shake it like you have a spasm," and "Girls cry over my body, my songs."

Taeyang said, "'Let's all have fun together' is this song's content," and "Up until now I've sung a lot of songs about love, but for this song I wanted to break out of that style and wanted to send a message that is appropriate for my age. More than trite love songs, I wanted to send a message to my fans from my current position."

In his solo songs, Taeyang has usually sung soft R&B style songs, but this song is a little different. Just as his lyrics have gone through a transformation, so has the song genre. It's particularly impressive that his sound has become a more powerful and intensely flavored hip-hop song.

He said, "This song features trap bass, dubstep, and electric, and is characterized by various genres. I even rap in this song, so it has a hip-hop feel to it. This is the style of music I wanted in this song."

Not only that, his style is going through a transformation as well. The music video, tattoo teaser images, new hairstyle, and muscle-revealing concept are a welcome change that highlight his wild and sexy image.

Regarding this, Taeyang stated, "I showed off my new hieroglyph and tribal pattern tattoos. I think my rough masculine and wild sides have been maximized."

Taeyang held his first comeback stage on the 10th via SBS' "Inkigayo."
