Tim Tebow news 2013: The NFL free agent is busy raising funds via the Tim Tebow Foundation to support victims of Typhoon Haiyan from his country of birth, Philippines. But the rumors and speculations of where his career could end up continues, especially as possibilities of an NFL team snagging the starting QB is almost at zero this season. According to some reports, the former New England Patriots is even considering the possibility of pursuing a career in broadcasting.

In a commentary by Shaun Heidrick in Yahoo! Sports, he said that Tim Tebow could possibly end up with the Ohio State Buckeyes in next year. He opined that though a career in TV maybe lucrative, a team out there could definitely put to use the former NFL star player.

A graduate assistant post at OSU could revive Tebow’s career and the Buckeyes would be the perfect fit for the 26-year-old athlete. The OSU football team is coached by Urban Meyer, who was Tebow’s head coach during his college days at the Florida Gators, wrote Heidrick. The coach has always held Tebow in high regard and he could probably be in favor of having the most successful signal-caller he’s ever worked to mentor Ohio State’s quarterback.

The team’s current quarterback, Braxton Miller is having a great year but it could be his final season with the Buckeyes. There has also been zero indication on whether Miller will skip this season and enter the 2014 NFL Draft. In the event that Miller does and Cardinal Jones, who is deemed a Tebow-clone physically, becomes the QB - the decision to bring Tebow on board could pay off in spades.

According to Heidrick, The NFL free agent’s experience in Meyer’s system could give him the ability to pass along a wealth of knowledge to Jones and the fact that Tebow made it to the NFL after excelling in Meyer’s offense would earn the respect of the potential Buckeye QB.

Heidricks, who has been following Ohio State Football for more than 25 years is optimistic that this could be a match made in heaven if it happens.
