The big guns of girl groups are all coming back for the winter, and its setting the stage for a major battle for the first place among them.

2NE1 is coming back on the 21st. They will be followed by Hyorin's solo comeback and SECRET shortly thereafter.

2NE1 is the first to comeback. They will release their single "Missing You" on the 21st and begin their TV appearances. Dara and Bom introduced their song as a tearjerker that will leave no eyes dry. It's different from the previous 2NE1 song offerings which were lively and energetic. 2NE1's unique brand of fun is pushed aside to make way for the song that YG Entertainment CEO Yang Hyun Suk said will "automatically trigger tears."

SECRET is no pushover, either. They experienced a big surge of popularity with the 'cute' concept with their August single, so they will look to continue the "cute" concept with their new single.

The solo artist to take them all down, of course, SISTAR's lead vocal Hyorin. She will be coming back as a solo performance but no additional detail has been released. However, whether she comes back with a vocal-strong ballad or a sexy dance song, the fans know that Hyorin can pull it off.

This winter will be a battle for the girl groups. Who will come out on top?
