Lee Jong Suk Uses His Voice to Help the Blind as the New Ambassador for the 'Good Library Project'

Rising star Lee Jong Suk will be using his fame for a good cause.

In this year's popular TV drama I Can Hear Your Voice, Lee Jong Suk played Park Soo Ha, a young man with the incredibly ability to hear what people are thinking.

Now he is using the gift of his own voice to help those who cannot see.

From November 25, the talented actor will lend his face and voice to Standard Chartered Bank's Good Library Project.

The project gets people to donate their voices to reading books for recording so that blind people may also enjoy their stories.

Lee Jong Suk will take the ambassador reigns over from JYJ member Park Yoochun.

"We chose Lee Jong Suk as the spokesman because he matched well with what the Good Library Project was looking for," explained a representative from Standard Chartered. The rep explained the popular actor has a "kind image and a soft and comfortable voice tone," making him ideal for the position.

Not only will Lee Jong Suk be the new face of the charity campaign, he will also participate in pushing its goals forward by making recordings himself.

The bank's rep also added that they hope to the actor's popularity helps them add many more titles to the Good Library Project's collection.

In the first two seasons, Standard Chartered reported that more than 110,000 people participated in the campaign to bring books to the blind.
