Tim Tebow Jacksonville Jaguars Campaign Continues; Golf Pro Buys Ad Telling Jags Owner, ‘Sign Tebow, We Will Fill The Stadium’

Tim Tebow for Jacksonville Jaguars is taking yet another turn and it seems that the devotion of Tebow fans for the player is an enduring as the player’s professed faith. CBS Sports reports that golf pro Dewey Arnette has purchased a $1,200 ad asking Jacksonville Jaguars owner, Shahid Khan to sign the NFL Free Agent.

“Dear Mr. Khan, Sign Tim Tebow and We Will Fill The Stadium” reads the ad that was published on the Florida Times Union. “Signed, the Citizens of Jacksonville,” the ad concluded.

CBS Sports noted that it’s strange for a man who does not seem flamboyant in his actions, but it seems that the Tebow fans are hard core and would go any lengths to ensure he still finds a way to play this season.

“I don’t want to come off as odd,” Arnette told ESPN, as reported by CBS Sports.

"The thing is, having done these things, I know how supportive people are of Tim Tebow around here. And our standards for the team are just so low right now."

Though he admits that the stunt would most probably fall on “deaf ear,” he said that he “just wanted to give it a try.”

“Yeah, this isn’t one of those real injustices in the world. But I feel bad for him. He deserves a shot,” said the golf pro.

The ad is just one of Tebow fans’ stunts that was seen over the season pleading the Jaguars management to sign the athlete. There were rallies and pickets at the Jaguars stadium asking them to sign Tebow and in one game, a banner was flown saying, “Tebow, Why Not?”

There were also billboards advocating for the Jaguars owner to sign the player. Despite it all, it seems that the team won’t bulge and no rumors or even hints has shown that the former team of the famous NFL quarterback would take him back.

Tim Tebow is currently busy in raising funds for victims of Typhoon Haiyan via the Tim Tebow Foundation. He was born in Manila, Philippines and has minister parents who serve actively in the country.
