A Japanese media source reported that Kara's Nicole will be coming to America next February to study abroad, but her agency DSP Media stated, "Nicole has not discussed with us that she was going to study abroad."

A DSP rep stated in a telephone interview, "There have been no discussions with Nicole about her leaving to America in February to study abroad, and we do not know the details."

The rep continued, "Nicole is contracted with us until next January, and until that date she will be continuing on with her planned activities as scheduled."

Earlier that day, a major Japanese newspaper Sankei Sports reported that an official stated, "Nicole will be studying abroad in America starting February. It seems as if Nicole's withdrawal from the group has been confirmed. Her contract with DSP is ending in January, and if she doesn't renew her contract, there's a high chance that she will pursue solo activities."

DSP Media reported on the 4th last month, "Nicole has revealed that she has no intentions of her renewing her contract with DSP, and it will come to a close in January," and officially stated that Nicole will be withdrawing from the group.
