K-Pop Fan Sound-Off: What Do You Think About Ailee Being Removed From KyoChon Chicken Ads in Wake of Allkpop Nude Photo Scandal?

Solo singer Ailee can't seem to catch a break.

After her allkpop nude photo scandal made headlines earlier this month, her image was removed from several advertisements for the KyoChon Chicken franchise.

While public opinion has appeared to favor the singer and many netizens are shaking their fingers at allkpop VP Daniel Lee (for allegedly leaking the pics of his ex), many fans are wondering if the nude photo fallout could lead to Ailee losing her KyoChon Chicken endorsement deal all together.

All around the internet netizens are weighing in on the company's decision to remove Ailee's picture from their advertisement and promotional materials. As seen in the pictures above, KyoChon has edited out Ailee in two of their current ads.

Additionally, Ailee's voice has also been removed from KyoChon's radio commercials.

Fans of the singer are calling for a boycott of the chicken franchise saying that the company is taking matters too far. One advertising industry professional claims measures like this are common practice.

"As an ambassador, Ailee is a representative of the company and whatever her public image is becomes the company's image too," the ad pro expained to E News Daily"Many endorsement contracts include clauses giving the company permission to instantaneously remove ads in the event of a public scandal."

Video advertisements airing in the New York City branches of KyoChon chicken still include Ailee, so there is no saying exactly how widespread her removal has been. Requests for comment from KyoChon Chicken were not immediately responded to.

What do you think? Was KyoChon Chicken right to remove Ailee's pictures, or are they going too far? Please share your thoughts in the comments section below.
