Yang Hyunsuk of YG: “No more groups like Big Bang”

Yang Hyunsuk of YG Entertainment has expressed that he doubts that he will be able to find another idol group like Big Bang.

During an interview at the YG headquarters, he said "I will surely produce many more idol groups in the upcoming future but it will be impossible to form another group like Big Bang where all of the strengths and weaknesses of each individual member are balanced out by another teammate."

He explained that Big Bang has been immensely loved both domestically and abroad despite their lack of good looks and dancing skills.

Yang added that "Korean and Japanese idols' dances are usually militaristic. But Big Bang's choreography was much more liberal and individualistic which was something new for the fans."

This is why Big Bang has taken care to include a variety of genres to cater to their fans' many tastes in their new mini album 'Alive'.

"The album," Yang says "focuses on introducing music of different genre rather than showing Big Bang's musical progress. That's why all six songs are title tracks."

Big Bang is currently on the run to promote their entire album.

With "Blue" taking over the music charts after its release on the 22nd, the group will release TV ads with "Love dust" "Bad Boy" "No Fun" "Fantastic Baby" and "Wings" during the upcoming week.

"It's probably an aberration to release six title tracks. But to us it's no longer about winning awards and scoring first place with one song. It's about alerting people about Big Bang as a brand and the album itself."

Big Bang will hold their concert in Seoul during March 2-4 after the release of their mini album on the 29th
