Big Bang’s comeback has gained large momentum spreading their popularity all over the world with their fifth mini-album ‘Alive’ dominating music charts in Korea, entering the Billboard Top 200 albums chart and entering top 10 U.S. iTunes album.

YG Entertainment earlier announced a new global event ‘2012 BIGBANG Cover Contest.’ BIGBANG cover contest is with their new songs ‘Blue’ and ‘Bad Boy. For fans to produce a cover video of Big Bangs title songs ‘Blue’ or ‘Bad Boy.’

There has been one video in particular posted by mestiza74 on March 8 that has attracted much attention due to high level of professional that was shown. He shared on YouTube comments, “This entire idea, preparing, costuming, shooting, editing, etc was though of and executed entirely within 48 hours, and I can definitely say we are super proud of the final result.”

For this contestant there has been a large number of MV that has been submitted. For the winner YG Entertainment is offering the fan a chance to visit Korea and opportunity to meet BIGBANG directly.

The submission of music video has been very diverse ranging from Europe, Spain France, Portugal, and U.S. all the way to Southeast Asia such as Malaysia, Indonesia, and Mexico.

Participants can cover the songs vocally, by dance, instruments, and more. The winners are selected in several categories such as Best Vocal, Best Dance, Best Band, Best Costume, Best Instrumental Player and Best Creative the winner of each category will be Big Bang ‘Alive’ goods gift box and a signed CD with a personal message from Big Bang.

The deadline for the contest is on March 14, 11:59PM KST. The top entries will be announced on April 3 and the voting will take place until April 10. The winner will be announced on April 17.
