In Korea, Christmas is a holiday that is not only a time for families, but also one of several holidays that are celebrated as couples day. As Christmas is considered a couples' holiday, many of the K-Pop songs that have recently been released or will soon be released target those who will be lonely on Christmas. This is a unique concept for international K-Pop fans, particularly those from the United States, whom have grown accustomed to hearing carols and jingles that are dedicated to what is commonly known as the Most Wonderful Time of the Year. Many K-Pop Christmas songs contemplate the loneliness experienced by those without a significant other or main family.

Cube United's Christmas Song achieves the same goal, while presenting an uptempo single with prominent saxophones. All of the artists featured on Cube Entertainment, Cube DC, and A-Cube are provided an opportunity to shine on this song, with a focus on the rappers and the vocalists. Super Star K 2 winner Huh Gak is sincerely soulful on the single, while BEAST's Yong Jun Hyung stands out with an individual rap selection.  The single is more about the sentiment of couples than the lonely, using word play that alludes to spending the night with the one you love on Christmas.

Vocalists Roh Ji Hoon from Cube DC and G.NA present the perfect couple during a paired segment in the video. 4Minute provide a very unified front with all members singing in unison. A-Pink look absolutely cute on the video, while Kim Kiri and BTOB deliver a more masculine side to the single.

Cube Entertainment has recently become more known for the risque work of the duo Trouble Maker, however, Christmas Song is much lighter fare. As Christmas approaches in Korea, it will be fascinating to see how numerous artists approach the subject of solitude in the holidays. With their release, Cube Entertainment provides both an uptempo jingle and the opportunity to reflect on the true meaning of companionship during the holiday season.
