OST Roundup: Lee Min Ho Sings for 'The Heirs' OST and Ulala Session for 'Golden Rainbow' OST

Lee Min Ho provides his voice for Part 9 of the The Heirs soundtrack as his character, Kim Tan, enters episode 17 with total uncertainty about his relationship with Park Shin Hye's Cha Eun Sang. As Kim Tan and Kim Woo Bin's Choi Young Do scramble to discover Cha Eun Sang's whereabouts, Kim Tan becomes overwhelmed by emotional conflict. Love Hurts will be the theme song of Kim Tan, reflecting how he has chosen to place love before himself and the material possessions he may lose in the future.

Prior to Love Hurts, Lee Min Ho contributed to the F4 Special Edition of the Boys Over Flowers original soundtrack with the song My Everything. My Everything became the base song of his 2013 Korean and Japanese albums which helped Lee Min Ho launch a successful tour. Lee Min Ho displays growth in his vocal range on Love Hurts, while maintaining the emotional complexity of the lyrics.

While all of the actors have benefited from the popularity of the drama, Lee Min Ho has increased his already wide reaching fan base, having reached over 10 million followers on Facebook. In addition to Lee Min Ho, The Heirs leading actress Park Shin Hye and actor Choi Jin Hyuk have also participated on the soundtrack.

Pretty Man has struggled within the ratings war against the juggernaut that is currently The Heirs, however, as the plotline develops more fans should look forward to more chemistry between Jang Geun Suk and IU.

Horan sings I Love You for the soundtrack for the new SBS drama Kind Words which airs on Mondays and Tuesdays at 21:55. This time slot was previously occupied by the morose melodrama Suspicious Housekeeper. I Love You illustrates the sentiment of Kind Words whose plot line focuses on Song Mi Kyung, a wife who discovers that her husband is engaged in an affair.

The historical drama Basketball, which is set in the 1940s with basketball as a central plot point to a life of poverty and the division between North and South Korea, released Make It Cry. KCM's Make It Cry is an aptly titled tune that is sorrowful and a traditional ballad.

As The Heirs begins to wrap up its plot line, the drama has seen an increase in ratings. Audiences are anticipating more romance as the relationships between all of the key characters reach a boiling point. With a soundtrack that has gained as much popularity as the drama itself, The Heirs has definitely become the drama to beat with the competition struggling to do so.
