EXO's Baekhyun, D.O, and Chen will be performing as a trio for a week for a special stage event. As soon as the news was announced, their fans crowded the issue.

One side of the fans demanded that the other members also be allowed to work as a unit group as well. Some fans were defending the three, while others were offended that their favorite member wasn't included as a part of the special stage.

These days, it seems like every news about EXO instantly becomes a hot button topic. This week's news about the special stage proved it. It was also this way when EXO's variety show "EXO's Showtime" was announced and aired.

What's the key to their success? How do they continue to receive such affection and attention from their fans? The way they debuted may have something to do with it.

EXO's debut as EXO-K and EXO-M was sensational. They were able to capture the hearts of both Chinese and Korean fans at the same time. It was a unique and innovative way to debut. Their simultaneous rise to the top of Chinese and Korean charts put them allowed them to become top Asian stars.

The way they perform together is also amazing. Their 12-man performances with singles "Growl" and "Wolf" shows both teamwork and synergy. Their musical talents and a knack for trendy performances has proven their skill level matches their fame.

EXO also was able to piggy-back on their fellow SM artists' concerts, which helped market them as the next SM superstars.

EXO will release their new single, "Miracles in December", on December 5th. It is a pop ballad that is laid over a stringed orchestra and beautiful piano melodies.  Their special December album will be released on December 9th.

An SM executive spoke about the title song, "Miracles in December", saying, "This song is sung by Baekhyun, D.O., and Chen, so they will be the ones performing the song on the weekend music programs. That in no way means that the group will begin to perform as separate groups again. Other members will join them on stage very soon with another single from the album."
