Nelson Mandela Death: Paris Hilton Victim Of A Twitter Hoax? The Blonde Heiress Did Not Confuse Nelson Mandela For Martin Luther King

Nelson Mandela's death did not only bring tears to millions of supporters, it also paved way for a number of people who take advantage of the sad news just to grab attention.

Apparently, Paris Hilton shared a tweet paying tribute to the late South African president, a tweet were she had supposedly mistaken Nelson Mandela for Martin Luther King.

The fake tweet that was deleted, but have already garnered 15,000 retweets read: "RIP Nelson Mandela. Your 'I Have A Dream' speech was so inspiring. An Amazing man.(sic)"

The blonde heiress condemned the "stupid fake tweet," that was intended to make it look as if she had written it from her official Twitter account. It is as though the 32-year old celebrity had confused the former South African President, who died at the age of 95, to be behind the "I Have a Dream" speech that was actually by Martin Luther King.

After being bombarded with reactions following the fake tweet, Paris was forced to hit back:

"Whoever made that stupid fake tweet lacks respect to the loss the world is mourning right now. Same goes for all the blogs who ran with it."

Shortly before reacting to the apparent prank, Paris had already paid her respects to the late anti-apartheid revolutionary leader, who died in his home in Johannesburg at the age of 95, through Twitter.

She posted:  "Just landed & heard the sad new about Nelson Mandela. He was a true Hero & the world is a better place because of him. May he rest in peace. (sic)"

Paris was not the only victim soulless people who used Nelson Mandela's death for their personal satisfaction, award-winning actor Morgan Freeman was too.

A number of tweets honoring Nelson Mandela came in with the picture of the veteran actor that began trending on Twitter that made other users react in horror of the hoax.

A Twitter used said: "#RIPNelsonMandela it's not even funny that people are tweeting pictures of Morgan Freeman, idiots (sic)"

Another said: "People are posting RIP photos of Morgan Freeman instead of Nelson Mandela in case you're wondering what kind of idiots are out there."
