SM Entertainment Confirms Girls' Generation is Preparing for a January Comeback

For the last couple days rumors have been circulating that the popular Korean girl group Girls' Generation would be making a comeback sometime in early 2014.

On December 7, the group's agency SM Entertainment confirmed the plans, giving Girls' Generation fans a lot to look forward to next year.

OSEN reported that the nine-member group is working on new material, although an official release schedule is still up in the air.

"Girls' Generation is preparing for the goal of a comeback early next year," reported a representative from SM Entertainment. "However, the exact date hasn't been set yet. We will reveal more details as they come out.

In addition to the comeback rumors, many fans of Girls' Generation were under the impression that the group would return with a new masculine concept. That, SM says, is not the case.

"Although it is not a manly concept, you will be able to see a new side of Girls' Generation," explained the agency rep.

Others are saying that the girls have already decided on the title track for their comeback and a new music video is in the process of being made.

The new mystery track will be Girls' Generation's first Korean comeback in a year since their wildly popular single "I Got a Boy" this past January.

Stay tuned for more information about the impending Girls' Generation comeback!
