U.S. President Obama mentions ‘Korean Wave’ at Hankuk University during his speech.

The president who visited Korea to attend the '2012 Nuclear Security Summit' held a special lecture at the Hankuk University of Foreign Studies on Monday.

In his speech he mentions of 'Korean Wave' (hallyu) and social media showing interest in Korea culture that is spreading out.

The President Obama while mentioning the quickly evolving 'digital era' and how popular social networking sites are changing the world he stated, "In our digital age, we can connect and innovate across borders like never before - with your smart phones and Twitter and me2day and Kakao Talk. It's no wonder so many people around the world have caught the Korean, wave hallyu."

The Korean wave that began with drama has now spread out to Korea Pop music is causing a sensation just as Obama has stated actively using YouTube and SNS to secure worldwide fans around the world.

Internet users have spread his speech like wild fire throughout the nation, as he not only mentions 'hallyu' but Korea SNS services such as me2day and Kakao Talk.

Truly Korea has come a long way as Obama stated the 'modern miracle' of South Korea rising from war-ravaged dictatorship to the current state of democracy. This will surly add fuel to fire in the movement of K-Pop stepping out to the world.
