2AM's Chang Min confessed the reason behind why he had to become an 'army idol.’

The KBS 'Do Dream' aired on March 24th Chang Min shared, "We used to be rich enough to be known all over Busan but we couldn't avoid IMF. After the hardest times, I fortunately got accepted to a music department of a university. That was when I weighed the most, 104kg."

He continued, "In October my parents came up from Busan and told me about school loans. We weren't even able to handle the interests of school loans."

Chang Min said he wanted to become a singer but his father said, "There's no way you can, look at the mirror."

Chang Min also said, "I asked my uncle and grandma for help but I couldn't go back to school so I worked as a vocal trainer."

And after that, Chang Min entered the army.
