EXO Are Becoming The Kings Of Promotion, With A Hilarious 'Trot X' Skit And Shout Out to SNSD's Yoona

MNET recently released a video which is starting to go viral in which Suho, Chanyeol, and Sehun discover the power of trot. The three members of EXO are riding in a shiny luxury car when they decide to remove the original CD which is playing trot music from 1996. The scene shifts to trot singer, Tae Jin Ah who is the founder of YMC Entertainment and the father of K-Pop vocalist Eru. Tae Jin Ah then begins to deface their car until the guys place the original CD back into the CD player.

The video is used to promote Mnet's musical program Trot X and references the Egypt's Panda Cheese commercials, in which the punchline is that no one messes with the Panda. In this case, no one messes with Tae Jin Ah. Although, it is a short promotional video, fans of EXO have found the clip to be endearing.

SM Entertainment is also capitalizing on the marketing power of EXO to help promote SM C+C's upcoming drama, Prime Minister and I. As Prime Minister and I is not a teen drama like The Heirs, support by EXO helps to draw in a younger audience. Prime Minister and I stars Girls Generation's Yoona as Nam Da Jung, a slightly inept and haphazard reporter. The members of EXO provided Yoona with encouragement for her drama which debuts December 9th at 21:55 on KBS2 in the time slot that was formerly occupied by Jung Yong Hwa's Marry Him If You Dare.

The members of EXO will also be promoting Miracles in December through Loen Entertainment's Oven Radio. Oven Radio will allow the group to provide song requests and answer previously submitted questions. There will be five short episodes of Oven Radio which allow for five minutes of air time with EXO. EXO members Luhan, Chen, Baek Hyun, and D.O kick off the first episode of Oven Radio.

EXO is concluding 2013 with high marketing power, as witnessed during their most recent fan signing event for Nature Republic, which was attended by 20,000 fans. EXO Showtime is also proving to be a hit for the group with fans going wild over the scripted reality program. 2014 will definitely bring more endorsements for the group, with the inevitability of members branching out for their own commercial deals.
