Garth Brooks Tour 2014: Dates And Locations Still To Be Confirmed; 52-Year-Old Worries About ‘Wheelchair-And-Walker Kind Of Tour’

Garth Brooks announced he will go on tour in 2014 on ABC's "Good Morning America," after months of speculation.Though Garth Brooks hasn't confirmed dates or locations for his 2014 tour, find out the details he did reveal here.

"GMA" host Robin Roberts pressed Garth Brooks about his new compilation, "Blame It On My Roots," as well as a few recently announced dates in Las Vegas that will feature Brooks and his band, Music Times reports.

"I would love to, but at 52 I'm worried it's the wheelchair-and-walker kind of tour,"Garth Brooks quipped.

Later in the interview, Brooks decided to announce his world tour to Roberts: "You know what, since it's you and since we've had a history forever, let's announce it.  We're going on a world tour in 2014," Brooks said "I can't believe I just did that, but you are a doll."

Brooks didn't expand on dates and locations for his tour, but clarified that it would be a "world tour" in 2014.

One thing that Music Times is sure of: fans can expect guest appearances from Brooks' wife, fellow country performer Trisha Yearwood, during the tour next year.

"It sure feels good to get to throw your hat back in the ring," Brooks said.  "All my babies are fine with it. Ms. Yearwood is fine with it.  So now I get to do what I love to do, which is play music.  I get to be with the person I want to be with, which is Ms. Yearwood."

Even though Brooks announced his retirement in 2000, he suggested that now that his three daughters are grown up, he has the freedom to go on tour again.

"Our baby is a senior in high school," he said.  "My children are off on their own so the guilt of not being there...I'm a phone call dad now.  'Hey Dad, I love you, can I borrow some money?'"
