Miley Cyrus Time Magazine Top 10 Finalists For The Person Of The Year – Twerking Queen Competes With President Obama & Pope Francis

Miley Cyrus included on Time Magazine's top 10 finalists for the Person of the Year recognition, as revealed by Time Managing Editor Nancy Gibbs at the "Today" show.

The twerking queen making it to Time Magazine's POY recognition might finally happen, as she leads the reader poll for the official announcement happening this Wednesday.

However, Miley Cyrus is in for some tough competition as President Obama and Pope Francis are also included in the list of finalists for Time Magazine's Person of the Year.

The "Wrecking Ball" singer actually has a good shot especially since she has been put on the magazine's best and worst dressed list for 2013.

With Time often accused of it distasteful desires with its Person Of The Year decisions, could it be Miley's turn for the recognition? Who could have forgotten the infamous choice of "You" in 2006?

However, the 2013 finalists seem to be on the social, religious, and serious side.

Here is the complete list of finalists arranged alphabetically:

Bashar Assad, President of Syria

Jeff Bezos, Amazon Founder

Ted Cruz, Texas Senator

Miley Cyrus, Singer

Pope Francis, Leader of the Catholic Church

Barack Obama, President of the United States

Hassan Rouhani, President of Iran

Kathleen Sebelius, Secretary of Health and Human Services

Edward Snowden, N.S.A. Leaker

Edith Windsor, Gay rights activist

"Today" anchors already made their guesses, with Savannah Guthrie choosing Pope Francis and Natalie Morales casting her vote for N.S.A leaker Edward Snowden.

Do you think the 21-year old pop star could snatch this one though?
