Block B and MIB to Join Forces in Explosive Year-End Hip-Hop Show '2013 The Buster'

After a year full of some pretty extreme ups and downs, seven-member hip-hop group Block B intends on finishing 2013 on a high note.

The dynamic group will join forces with another K-hip-hop boy band, MIB, for a joint concert later this month.

On December 22, the two groups will present their collaborative show, 2013 The Buster, to fans in Seoul.

The concert's title is a play on the names of the two groups - MIB being an acronym for Most Incredible Busters and Block B, of course, being short for Blockbuster.

Both debuted in 2011 with warm reception and have strong roots in the hip-hop genre, but have since branched out to explore different styles.

Block B was created by well-known producer Cho PD under the label Brand New Stardom, but spent the majority of this year tangled in legal issues with the agency.

Ultimately the group left the company and started their own managing agency Seven Seasons, making a strong comeback in September.

MIB is part of Jungle Entertainment, a label founded by Korean hip-hop legend Drunken Tiger and home to many influential artists like duo LeeSsang. The members have showcased their talents many times and have collaborated with some of K-Pop's finest in the past two years, and the latest endeavor with Block B is one many fans are eager to see.

'The Buster' will be held at the Grand Hilton Hotel's Convention Hall in Seoul on December 22 at 6pm. The show is all general admission and tickets are 88,000won a pop (roughly $84USD each) and are available through the Interpark ticketing site.

While the tickets may be on the high end especially for such a small scale concert (the Hilton's convention hall only has a capacity of 2,500), it is sure to be one that fans will not soon forget.

MIB's leader 5zic reiterated, "Even though it is a bit pricey, let's play to the fullest! If possible, we will perform Hippity Hippity Hop," through his personal Twitter account. He also uploaded the official concert poster.

December is already cracking up to be a busy one for MIB. The day before their 'Buster' concert with Block B, the group will join the list of performers for the 'ONE HIPHOP X PARTY'.
