Wonder Girls' fans, there is breaking news that one member from the group will probably not be extending her contract. The member is Sohee and news media Allkpop featured an article regarding about this news by the agency responding.

JYP Entertainment Letter

"JYP Entertainment" responded to this issue very quickly by stating:

"Hello, this is JYP Entertainment.

We are informing you that our artist the Wonder Girls' members Sun, Yenny, and Yubin have agreed to renew their contract and we are currently working out the details with them. (Sun, Yenny, and Sohee's contracts expire December 21st, Yubin's contract expires in September of next year)

Sohee has decided that it's a time for a personal change, so she has revealed her intention to focus on acting in a new environment, so after much discussion, we have decided to honor her wishes.

From henceforth, we will decide on the time period and the direction of activities for Wonder Girls depending on the individual activities of the members."

As always, we want to once again thank everyone who supports and cheers on the Wonder Girls."

Still Deciding

Though do not jump to conclusions just yet, Sohee is still deciding and getting in-touch with other agencies related in the field of acting. If possible, Sohee is "considering" on still being a part of "JYP Entertainment" but wants to be part of it by working as an actress. If other K-pop stars are acting while being a part of their music agency, then there might be a possibility that this might work. Sohee can even do both still if she wants by singing if she is not acting or acting if not singing. She decides on what's better for her.

One representative stated, "It's not that she's leaving the agency because she has decided to pursue an acting career. The contract renewal negotiations haven't been completely finished yet... She could contract as an actress under JYP, or she could find another agency. That matter has yet to be decided."

Regarding the future of Wonder Girls' activities, the rep said, "As of right now, there is nothing specific that has been discussed about the Wonder Girls' activities... We will work out the time period and direction depending on the members' individual activities."
