Eminem MMLP2 News and Updates: Eminem's "Berzerk" made its mark on the Grammy's. But not soon enough. Eminem's new album, "The Marshall Mathers LP 2" won't be getting a Grammy this year, but the award show will consider Slim Shady next year.

Eminem didn't release "The Marshall Mathers LP 2" until Nov. 5, which dropped it from nominations at this year's Grammy Awards which has a cut-off date of music released after Sept. 30. But the first single off MMLP2, "Berzerk," which sold in the platinum range, came out just in time and has been nominated for Best Rap Performance. And it looks like it's got a good shot at it. Berzerk was used in the Grammy Awards commercial for the 56th Grammy Awards.

"Berzerk" is up against Drake's "Started From The Bottom," Jay-Z's "Tom Ford," Kendrick Lamar's "Swimming Pools (Drank)" and the Macklemore & Ryan Lewis featuring Wanz song "Thrift Shop."

Eminem's "Berzerk" was produced by the legendary Rick Rubin. Eminem's new album was produced by Rick Rubin and Dr. Dre. Rick Rubin also handled production for Kanye West's "Yeezus." Eminem's "Berzerk" draws from the styles and beats of Beastie Boys over a sample of Billy Squier's hit 1981 song "The Stroke."Slim Shady won 13 Grammy Awards. Eminem also won a Best Original Song Oscar at the Academy Awards for his hit from his 2002 film "8 Mile," called "Lose Yourself."

The 56th Grammy Awards will air on Sunday, Jan. 26 at 8/7c on CBS.
