Girls' Generation Tops Japan Oricon Weekly Chart with 'LOVE&PEACE'

Girl group Girls' Generation topped the Japan Oricon weekly chart.

Girls' Generation's recent Japan album release, LOVE&PEACE, was released on December 11 and sold 129,255 copies the first week.

This is their second time topping the Oricon weekly album chart. Their first time was back in 2011 with their first Japan album, GIRLS' GENERATION.

This makes them the first Korean girl group to top the Oricon weekly album chart twice.

Many local Japan media and news reported this new record and showcased their immense popularity in Japan.

On the other hand, Girls' Generation will be holding their third Japan arena tour starting next April.
