Will Zayn Malik and Perrie Edwards have their wedding in the winter of 2014? Zayn Malik's mother gave a candid interview, and revealed new wedding details and how she feels about Zayn Malik's fiancee Perrie Edwards.

Trisha Malik, Zayn Malik's mother, talked to BBC News about her One Direction son and his engagement to Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards

"Perrie is a lovely girl and I get on really well with her," Trisha told BBC News.

She then revealed a few details about their upcoming wedding: "They're thinking of the end of next year, although no date has yet been set yet."

Zayn and Perrie got engaged in August, and though they're only 20 years old, fans can't wait for a One Direction/Little Mix wedding to happen soon!

As we previously reported, Zayn and Perrie may have some time to talk about their wedding plans during this year's holidays: over Christmas, the Malik family will travel to London from Bradford to celebrate with Zayn and Perrie, according to BBC News.

"I will cook the dinner," Trisha said. "Perrie and her mother will be there and we'll open presents, play games and stuff our faces," she laughed.

In the interview, Trisha admitted that it's hard when Zayn is on tour with One Direction.

"He went to Australia recently and I didn't see him for almost three months," she said. "It's sad but the family had to check on the internet to see where he was."

Trisha is hoping that once Zayn and Perrie get married, they'll move closer to her and the Malik family.

"If they have children I wouldn't like to be so far away from them. I would really like to still be part of their lives," she added.

Zayn recently told E! News that he hopes to have some time off to talk about his upcoming wedding with his future bride.

"Maybe when I get my time off we can start talking about that [wedding planning], but we haven't really started planning anything yet," he said.

"That's all exciting and we have that to look forward to. That will be cool."
