K-Pop Crossover: Diplo To Feature CL And G-Dragon On Project Album, And Other Idols Featured On English Albums!

Some K-pop idols feature English artists on their albums, but how many Korean artists have been featured on English albums?

On a recent episode of Mnet America's "Danny From LA," co-hosts Danny Im and Dumbfoundead updated fans on the collaboration between Diplo, Skrillex, CL, and G-Dragon.

While initially the collaboration was assumed to be for CL or G-Dragon's albums, it turned to be the other way around.

“[YG] said it is in the works, they have nothing laid down yet. It’s actually not going to be on GD or CL’s albums. CL and GD are actually featuring on Diplo’s project album,” said Danny.

"That makes it bigger," added Dumbfoundead. "This collaboration works and I like that respect of American artists wanting them featured on their stuff as opposed to the other way around.”

Although CL and G-Dragon are not the first K-pop idols to collaborate with English artists, Korean idols be featured on English album is still a rarity.

Will.i.am is one of the few producers who has prominently featured and supported K-pop, especially with his relationship working with 2NE1, who was featured on his solo album "#willpower."

Recently, Pixie Lott featured G-Dragon and T.O.P. on the Japanese release of her album "Young Foolish Happy."

Another K-pop idol who has graced an American artist's discography is Se7en, who was featured on an official radio remix of Amerie's single "Take Control."

With K-pop has more crossover impact around the world, who do you think will be the next artist to be featured on an English album or single after Se7en, CL, G-Dragon, and T.O.P.?
